Artist Statement    I lived with my grandmother in a small village in Southern Taiwan before I reached ten. Every year that town would hold a temple fair to celebrate a goddess’ birthday; part of the temple fair is formed by Chinese traditional parade with performers dressed as ancient warriors. Those warrior performers’ colorful make up and their shinning crowns had always been the most vivid memory in my childhood.
