Richeson 75 Electronic Entry

1. Prepare your images for entry. Image should be at 300 dpi and in RGB mode.
a. Longest side should measure between 2400 pixels to 4200 pixels (8" to 14")
b. Save image as a .jpg at "Maximum" Image Quality
c. Label your image (all lower case with no spaces!) with your Last Name First Initial_title: for instance if your name is John Smith and your artwork is titled "My Painting", the image would be saved as smithj_mypainting.jpg
d. Confirm your image is the right size! The size of the file should be over 1 MB and less than 5 MB.
e. Ensure that your computer does not automatically reduce the file size on email attachments. An easy way to check is to email the image to yourself and then look at the file size of the attachment. If the attachment size is less than your original image size, go into your email program's "Options" or "Preferences" and turn off the feature that automatically reduces attachment sizes for emailing.
2. Use the Paypal "Buy Now" button on the Richeson 75 website for the applicable contest cycle. Select the number of images you are entering and complete the transaction.
3. When the transaction is complete, email your entries to Richeson75@gmail.com.
a. Subject line should read R75 (contest cycle, i.e. Landscape)
b. In the body of the email, include the following information: Your name Your mailing address Your phone number Your email address Your website URL (If you do not include your website URL with this email, it will NOT be included in the exhibit book or online exhibit if you are selected as a finalist)
c. For each image being sent, list Title, Medium, Size (Height x Width) and Price (or Not For Sale).
d. SEND IMAGES SEPARATELY IF NECESSARY: DO NOT EXCEED TOTAL ATTACHMENT SIZE OF 5MB. You do not need to resend your address, phone etc. with each email if you send them within a short time of each other.
We are unable to acknowledge each successful receipt of image files, so you may wish to request "read receipts" from your email program.
We are hoping to simplify the electronic entry process in the coming months, but our survey showed respondents were anxious to have online entries of some sort available ASAP. Thanks for your participation in the Richeson 75 International Art Competitions!
