Artist Statement     Living in D.C. area, I focus on the local historic street recently. Walking around Georgetown or Capital Hill, I wish to capture the elegance and beauty of the nation’s capital. I paint on a big scale canvas with one-by-two composition to depict the panorama. Different seasons give the paintings different tones and atmospheres. I add pedestrians and cars to make the street alive and vivid.  Annapolis is another city that I paint frequently. I like the structure of buildings and boats of Annapolis, and the reflections and colors of water also fascinate me. I reinforce the colors and textures of my harbor scenes to suggest the effects of light, making my painting both dramatic and contrasted.
