Artist Statement     Retiring recently, after 25 years in law enforcement, I have now been able to dedicate my full time to painting.    I enjoy landscape painting especially when those landscapes are populated by beautiful animals in their natural environment.    I love to travel through the back roads of the Midwest to discover subjects for my paintings.    "When The Cows Come Home" was born during a recent family vacation to Door County Wisconsin.  The Cows were standing in their pond one hot summer afternoon waiting to "Come Home" to their barn after spending the day in their pasture.  I knew I had to paint them.
