Opening Issue March 22 - May 21, 2009
Greetings!

It's not news to anyone that times are tough right now. What might not be so obvious is that the visual arts are alive and well.  Maybe they're even more important now than ever. Some of the world's greatest art has been born in times of history's greatest strife. Artists can use their hearts and talents for political and societal commentary,  as a record of events, and as respite for both artist and viewer from the difficult and the mundane.  There's no doubt that sales of artwork is down, but statistics show that online galleries and artists' websites are getting more viewers and subscribers than ever before and the numbers keep growing.

The artists that enter the Richeson 75 competitions have the deep-seated need to create and to share their efforts.  The Richeson Family (and those of us fortunate enough to work for and with them) will continue to provide internationally recognized (online and brick-and-mortar) venues for the work of these talented individuals.

As always, our artists, collectors, gallery friends and interested individuals get the first peek at the show.  If you're in the area, we invite you to attend the opening reception this coming Sunday, March 22 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.  Awards Juror Stephen Quiller will be on hand to personally present his selections.

Enjoy the Exhibit!
Terry

ANNOUNCING NEW PRICING FOR RICHESON WORKSHOPS THIS SUMMER & FALL

We know money is tight for everyone right now. We also know that artists need to reinforce and enhance current skills, try to "stretch" by learning something completely new and maybe even gain a new view of their overall artistic direction in order to grow.  We've decided that starting in June of this year, we are cutting prices  WITHOUT sacrificing any of the quality, the service and the "extras" that have become our hallmark! You will not believe how affordable we've made instruction from the finest Artist/Instructors in North America!
Workshops that were $800 are now $550
Workshops that were $750 are now $525
Workshops that were $675 are now $475
Workshops that were $425 are now $295
Workshops that were $265 are now $175
These prices will be reflected on the website in the next two weeks: If you call to register before that time, you will be given the new price. If you have already signed up for a workshop in June or later this year, the discount will be taken off your balance due. Questions? Email Terry at artschool@richesonart.com
